Neck Pain

Neck pain is pain located anywhere from the base of your skull to the top of your shoulders. The pain can be caused by common activities such as sleeping in an odd position, poor posture, or working overhead. Injuries such as whiplash can also cause neck pain. In less common patients, the pain could be a result of an infection or Rheumatoid arthritis.

What Kind Of Symptoms May I Feel?

How Can Inspirit Help Me?

At Inspirit Therapy Associates we carefully examine each patient to gain a full understanding of their specific neck pain issue.  Our goal is to reduce or eliminate your pain and improve your quality of life.  By working together with one of our therapists we can identify and change physical habits or conditions that affect your neck.  Utilizing mobilization and/or manipulation plus exercise has been found to be beneficial in both acute and chronic mechanical neck disorders.

Neck pain can be treated by numerous approaches ranging in complexity depending on the severity and underlying causes of the pain. Neck pain can also be eased via many self-help techniques such as stretching and strength building exercises.  In some cases the use of heat or cold may provide short-term pain relief.  At Inspirit Therapy Associates we assess each individual and pay close attention to their specific issues, mobilization techniques may work on some patients, while muscle manipulation may work better with others.  It is important for each of our patients to be heard individually one size does not fit all.  Read our "Mission Statement."
